Downforce Apparel started the same way most real things do — out of frustration.
I'm a veteran. I served, I came home, and when I got back into the car scene the way I always had, meets, night runs, track days, hours in the garage. But I couldn't find clothing that actually represented that world. Everything was either too mall-brand generic or too loud in all the wrong ways. Nothing felt like it was made by someone who actually lived this.
So I made it myself.
I started Downforce Apparel out of Phoenix, Arizona with one goal: build premium JDM and motorsport streetwear for people who actually know what they're talking about. Not influencers. Not hypebeasts. Real car people.
Every design we drop is a tribute to a car that deserves one. The Supra lineage. The GT-R legacy. The Civic Type R that redefined what a hot hatch could be. The E36 M3 that still makes every other driver on the road feel something. These aren't just graphics — they're conversations with anyone who recognizes them.
WHY VETERAN OWNED MATTERS TO US
We're not putting "veteran owned" on the trust strip just to fill space.
It means something about how we operate. Attention to detail. No cutting corners. Doing things right the first time. Taking pride in what we put our name on.
Every order that ships from Downforce is a reflection of that standard. Heavyweight cotton. Oversized fits that actually sit right. Vintage wash that gives each piece character from day one. We don't rush drops. We don't reprint. When something's gone, it's gone — because limited means something here.
WHAT WE MAKE AND WHY
We design for the car meet. For the track day. For the person who drives two hours to watch a drift event just because they love it.
Our tees are 6.5oz ring-spun cotton , heavyweight enough to hold their shape, soft enough to actually wear every day. Our hoodies are 10oz brushed fleece with a no-drawcord hood and a fit that works whether you're behind the wheel or walking the lot.
Every design goes through the same question before it's approved: would a real enthusiast respect this? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship.
We're based in Phoenix and proud of it. The Arizona car scene is real, the community is tight, and this brand was built inside it.

We launched with a small collection and we're growing with intention. New drops come when they're ready — not on a content calendar. We'd rather release one thing that's right than ten things that aren't.
